Job Function:
As a Robotics Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for educating our external customers and internal employees on robotic systems including operation, programming, and maintenance/troubleshooting. You will create engaging and hands-on learning experiences to ensure a thorough understanding of our robotic technology for our customers.
Reports to:
Robotics Training Manager - North America
Responsibilities and Objectives:
- Facilitate training to our customers and partners in Duncan, SC, covering technical topics such as software, hardware, electrical and mechanical.
- Teach customers how to service robotic equipment mechanically and electrically.
- Teach customers how to interface and program robotic equipment.
- Prepare and pack training equipment for shipment to customer locations.
- Travel onsite to customer locations and other Stäubli facilities to perform training services as needed.
- Manage assigned training sessions in the Learning Management Software
- Maintain training rooms, robot equipment and peripheral devices.
- Modify standard training manuals and class materials to ensure content remains current and relevant.
- Occasionally adapt and customize training materials to suit customer needs.
- Assist in expanding and maintaining internal Stäubli personnel knowledge base.
- Maintain safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Associate's degree with relevant experience also considered
- Two years automation and/or robotics experience required
- Strong mechanical aptitude for rebuilding motors and gears in robotic equipment
- Valid driver's license with good driving record. Valid passport/capability to obtain one.
- Ability to use a PC and Microsoft Office applications at a high level.
- Experience as a technical trainer preferred.
- Python, C++, PLC, robot programming experience preferred but not required.
- Robot simulation, CAD design, and 3D printing experience preferred but not required.
- Bilingual: Spanish, French, German preferred but not required.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Physical Requirements:
- Periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Periods standing, walking, and verbally communicating.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
- Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate equipment.
Work schedule:
- Work will be onsite at our STC facility in Duncan, SC with the ability to travel as required both domestically and internationally (up to 50%)

Compensation details: 75000-85000 Yearly Salary
