Northrop Grumman is seeking an EEO and Diversity Specialist to join our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team, housed within the Global Corporate Responsibility (GCR) function.
Located in Roy, UT, and reporting to the Defense Systems (DS) Sector & Corporate Office (CO) Director - Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, the Specialist will support DS, CO and select Enterprise programs in support of DE&I. This role involves developing and implementing programs consistent with the goals and objectives of the enterprise GCR function, the Sector DE&I Leadership Council focus areas and the DS and CO Human Capital strategies.
This role can be filled at a level 3 or 4, depending upon the incumbent's experience, and education.
Job responsibilities include:

• Support the DE&I Director with the execution of both CO and DS DE&I strategies throughout the sector and the company.

• Serve as the focal point to support DS and CO Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), lead DS ERG Council, act as strategic advisor to sector leaders and stakeholders, facilitate meetings with and about ERGs, and assist with providing business solutions and engagement opportunities.

• Ensure ERG alignment with DE&I Strategy and integrate DE&I initiatives into ERG planning/activities.

• Maintain ERG resources/tools and provide training, orientation, and communications related to ERGs.

• Manage ERG membership, executive sponsors, elections, leadership vetting, chapter requests, and full rosters.

• Provide support for events to include approving events, tracking summaries, tracking participation, ensuring alignment with ERG pillars, and associated documentation.

• Manage sector ERG budget, coordinate budget related items, and collaborate with Business Management.

• Answer ERG questions and inquiries, providing ERG management guidance as needed.

• Partner with DS and CO stakeholders to implement aligned DEI communications strategy.

• Act as sector POC for diversity achievement conferences, assisting with conference communications, pre-conference support, coordination of sector employee attendees and conference registrations, and all related activities.

• Assist with diversity achievement conferences award nomination process, which includes conducting call for nominations and participating in nomination down-select committees.

• Provide on-site support at diversity achievement conferences (e.g. BEYA, SHPE, SWE, Out & Equal) and attends other GCR events as needed (Virtual or In-Person).

• Assist DE&I Director in facilitating the DS and CO DEI Councils, and partner with HR to support division and local DEI initiatives to ensure alignment and achievement of priorities.

• Collaborate with the sector's HR community, business leaders, and executives to plan and execute DE&I initiatives for a geographically dispersed population of employees.

• Navigate ambiguous situations and adapt to shifting priorities.

• Assist with Global Corporate Responsibility special projects, as needed.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

• Bachelor's degree required plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in DE&I, HR, OE or related field

• Ability to provide consulting and skillful application of DE&I principles, concepts, policies and practices to solve business challenges

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence others.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects to completion including organizing, planning, scheduling, and following up on all project related items

• Knowledge of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion best practices and business applications.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:

• Bachelor's degree required plus a minimum of 8 years of experience in DE&I, HR, OE or related field

• Ability to provide advanced consulting on and skillful application of DE&I principles, concepts, policies and practices to solve business challenges

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence others.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects to completion including organizing, planning, scheduling and, following up on all project related items

• Knowledge of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion best practices and business applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Employee Resource Groups, including governance models, management tools and best practices.

• Experience in proactive DE&I assessment and diagnosis of business challenges and ability to craft effective solutions.

• Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to be flexible and adjust direction when needed.

• Ability to navigate cultural and business nuances/sensitivities to promote top performance, employee engagement and inclusion and culture of belonging.

• Exposure to larger scale change management efforts across sites/client groups.

• Working knowledge of HRIS platforms and technology, with preferred applications experience in Workday and Saba Learning Exchange (LX).

Salary Range: $76,600 - $115,000
Salary Range 2: $95,000 - $142,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
