Job Description Summary
Provide business analysis support for client areas to identify business requirements for system solutions or business processes.Job Description
Responsibilities:
Assist in conducting business process analysis and needs assessments in an effort to align information technology solutions with business initiatives.
Assist in the preparation of “as is” and “current state” documentation in written and/or graphical form (flows).
Assist in Business Process Modeling to create models that reflect an intuitive, non-technical, system agnostic, model representing the Operations staff's perspective of how the business is conducted.
Maintain a general understanding of the technology and architecture that support the division’s business processes.
Assist in defining business and systems requirements through business requirements workshops, use case workshops and research and analysis. This is combined with a general understanding of applicable business systems.
Understand and communicate business unit requests and business requirements to project teams.
Prepare documentation for business requirements.
Assist in the preparation of documentation of desired system functionality by completing the appropriate Use Case documents.
Problem Solving: May work with Operations staff in creating alternatives and recommend solutions to meet the operational goals of a business area or to solve operational problems.
Assist in conducting research and analysis to quantify business opportunities and assists in developing formal recommendations to management.
May use project management skills and track the progress of a project.
Develop and execute application test plans and document the results.
Serve as a liaison to all business units and across divisions if necessary, when gathering requirements.
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors degree, preferably in IT or a business area discipline (i.e. accounting, investments, or marketing) or equivalent education/experience required.
Up to 2 years experience in business analysis.
1-2 years of industry experience also preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of insurance company operations, with reinsurance knowledge or experience with TAI Reinsurance system a plus.
Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
Working knowledge of systems methodology, project management, quality assurance and testing methodologies.
Conceptual knowledge of graphical user interfaces, relational database management systems and data storage.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Alteryx, AWS, QuickSights, Selenium, Excel Power BI and SQL based query tools. Experience with SQL and VBA coding.
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment.
Able to work in a team environment.
Basic personal computer skills including mainframes, PC's and networks.
Compensation:

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $52,000 - $62,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Bonus Eligibility:
This position is also typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion.
